With deep gratitude and reverence, we honor the life and legacy of Prof. Henry Thairu, a distinguished scholar, visionary leader, and faithful steward whose service to Daystar University helped shape generations.
Prof. Thairu served the university with wisdom, humility, and unwavering commitment, including his role as Chairman of Council, where his leadership strengthened governance, academic excellence, and institutional growth. His voice carried both authority and compassion, always guided by integrity, faith, and a genuine love for the Daystar community.
Beyond titles and offices, he was a mentor to many, a champion of higher education in Kenya, and a man who believed deeply in nurturing servant leadership. His contributions extended not only to Daystar but also to the broader academic and national landscape, where he was widely respected for his counsel and statesmanship.
As alumni, we remember him as a builder of dreams, one who invested in the future he knew he might never fully see, yet believed in wholeheartedly. His legacy lives on in every graduate empowered by the values he upheld: excellence, faith, leadership, and service.
We celebrate a life well lived, a race well run, and a legacy that will continue to inspire generations of Daystar alumni.
