The Daystar University fraternity joined other mourners, who gathered to eulogise and celebrate a life of one\u2002of its best-placed giants who was recently called to glory. On Saturday January 4, 2025, Professor Faith Nguru was laid to rest in Mbeere,\u2002Embu County, in a ceremony filled with tears, gratitude and love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As an alumna and a delightful member of the Daystar fraternity, her legacy shines through the many lives she impacted,\u2002mentored, and motivated. Alumni, students, staff, and other mourners came from far and wide to pay tribute to this great human, reinforcing an indelible imprint\u2002she left on the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shouldering her mantle as a mentor, teacher, and friend, she personified servant leadership through her support\u2002of those around her; nurturing the growth of resilience among all who came to know her. She was nothing, but a God-given gem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The burial service was a testament\u2002to her support, with an overwhelming attendance of graduated class and affiliates whose lives she molded. Tributes expressed her\u2002devotion, sacrifice and unwavering faith. Speakers described her dedication to empowering others, as they\u2002reflected on the legacy of hope and change she instilled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her death leaves\u2002a gap, but her impact will be felt for generations both at the heart of Daystar University and beyond. In her memory, let us continue to fight for the vision she believed in, that of a better world, a world focused on compassion\u2002and service, one where we act for the benefit of one another instead of ourselves. A perfect world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
May her soul rest in peace, and may her legacy forever be etched in the memories\u2002and lives of those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with someone as remarkable as her.
